Wirral Woman Nominated For Merseyside Business Woman of the Year

Wirral business woman Lisa Collins the owner of Daisy and Jake Day Nursery who have three premises across the Wirral have had some great news. Lisa has been nominated for Merseyside Business Woman of the Year 2011. Show your support for the Wirral and please vote for her by clicking the following link:

Lisa had this to say,

“When looking for childcare for my own children I began to realise there was a real gap in the market for nurseries which placed any emphasis on outdoor play and reluctant to accept the “converted house” indoor environment I decided to open my own. Despite the economic downturn and government cuts on childcare working tax credits, childcare vouchers and parents turning to relatives for child care to cut costs I have since opened a further two purpose built nurseries, selected for their location, both backing on to woodland and purpose built with large spacious areas both indoors and out.

Our turnover this year was in excess of £1.7m. Creating a total of 102 new jobs and training up to 18 apprentices at any one time. I have been nominated in the finals of “Merseyside Business Woman of the year”. The person with the most votes from the public will win the award. I would be extremely grateful for anyone who would support me by voting on the link below”.

The results will be announced on Friday 24th June at The Crown Plaza, Liverpool.
