Wirral Mencap hosted a comedy night at Tranmere Rovers Football Club.
An audience of 131 people enjoyed a marvellous night of laughs, raising £2,370.41 in the process through sponsorship from local businesses.
Even more donations were generated by the comedians themselves due to the generosity of their families and friends, according to Wirral Mencap Fundraiser, Sharon Nicholson.
“We are absolutely delighted with that and are excited about getting a final total. It’s been a fabulous event for us on a number of fronts.”
