A fire in a Bristol nail and beauty salon has destroyed the building and caused severe damage to a neighbouring restaurant.
Creations Nail and Beauty Salon was so damaged that it was declared unstable, while the roof of the next-door Simply Thai restaurant collapsed, according to This is Bristol.
The blaze, which caused other nearby shops to be evacuated and closed the main Gloucester Road, burnt from 10am, when firefighters from Avon Fire and Rescue Service were called.

Fire in Merseyside Classroom

Firefighters were called to a school in Croxteth after a fire was discovered in a classroom yesterday 21st June
When crews arrived at they discovered a 2nd floor science classroom at De La Salle School well alight.
Watch Manager Tony Lynott said: “The whole classroom was involved in the fire. We extinguished it and ventilated it very quickly, which has helped to minimise the smoke damage.”

Birmingham train station shut by false fire alarm

Passengers had to be evacuated from Birmingham International train station on Monday (June 20th) after a fire alarm went off.
The station, which serves the nearby international airport, was closed for around half an hour from 10.20am as firefighters investigated the cause of the false alarm, reports the Birmingham Mail.
A spokesperson for Virgin Trains told the news provider that it is believed the fumes from a train set off the fire alarm detection system.

Man dies in Scottish food factory fire

The body of a 37-year-old man has been recovered following a serious fire in a food factory.
Around 60 firefighters were called to the Wicken Fen Food factory in Duns, Scotland, at 11.30 pm on 19 June.
The single-storey building, which was partitioned into a carpet factory and a food processing factory, burned through the night. The fire was finally out at 5 am.

Fire crews deal with a blaze at The Wern scrapyard in Frondeg, RhostyllenTWO mobile cabins were burned to the ground in an arson attack.
Fire broke out early yesterday at The Wern scrapyard at Frondeg, Rhostyllen, near Wrexham.

A Haydock resident had a lucky escape after a fridge freezer caught fire in his kitchen this morning.
The occupier was alerted by a neighbour who banged on the front door of the house in Vista Road.
Two fire crews from St Helens and Newton-Le-Willows were called at 6:14am.

Two bed and breakfast owners have been fined for obstructing fire safety inspectors trying to inspect their property to ensure it was safe.
Mr Richard Williams-Allen, 70 and Mrs Lesley Williams-Allen, 64, of The Laurels Bed and Breakfast, Inchbrook, Nailsworth, both pleaded guilty to obstructing the premises as well as failing to provide information about the property.
