PEOPLE were evacuated from Wirral Metropolitan College Monday morning after a fire alarm was activated.
There were 250 evacuated from the premises following a fire involving a florescent light fitting on the first floor of a science block at Carlett Park Campus.
Firefighters at Bromborough Fire Station were called out at 10am Monday morning.
The light fitting was damaged by heat and smoke. There was also smoke damage to 50sq metres of the communal passageway.
